Designer Paula Saavedra was born in Cali, Colombia in 1979. Growing up with the influence of her Latin American roots, Paula was always interested and involved in design. From drawings to painting, she was always fascinated by the creative process and had a love of fashion.

She went off to study at Emerson College in Boston, where she received her degree in advertising and marketing. After graduating, she went to work at McCann Erickson Miami, in the creative department. After few years later of working in advertising, she began to identify the need for a high-end, chic yet wearable swimwear line.

In 2004 together with a friend, Paula set out to realize her dream as she soon realized that fashion was her true calling. CAFFE swimwear was launched in August 2004 and since its launch, has achieved almost instant success. Two years later, she bought out her partner’s participation and became the sole owner of CAFFE, making the line a true reflection of Paula’s overall exquisite lifestyle.

Paula strives to develop swimwear that is chic, sophisticated and stylish, yet at the same time wearable. Her designs come from the simple belief that most women just like her, look and feel confident and sexy when their swimwear is comfortable.
