In 1989, the Villalobos siblings, Jorge and Liliana, founded Aguaclara in Lima, Peru. With great enthusiasm, they started a small tailor-made swimwear manufacturing workshop – and in just a short time, Aguaclara became very popular within the local market and grew to become a leading brand.  Aguaclara is now the top swimsuit company in Peru, with 7 stores in the country and distribution throughout the world.  Their swimsuits have been featured in many top magazine editorials as well as on the covers of Ocean Drive and Las Vegas Magazines.

Creative Director Liliana shapes the spirit of the brand, whose main characteristic is an ethnic look rooted in Amazon and Andean influences. She says she is a restless traveler always looking for new trends and state-of-the-art technologies. 

Aquaclara’s unique and exotically feminine designs are made with highly elaborate embroidery as well as prints and hand made natural accessories that have been exclusively designed for the swimwear line.
