Brazilian bikinis for celebrities and real women from ViX Swimwear
Sexy supermodel Jessica White recently hosted the launch of the Rica Swimwear collection along with fellow models Claudia Mason, Carola Remer, Jade Jackson and Milly Simmonds. A vibrant and sensuous new swimwear collection, Rica Swimwear offers a custom line of fashion forward pieces that are specially created with luxurious fabrics from Spain.
Rica Swimwear designer Ava Sanjurjo was born and raised in the Bronx, and her love affair with fashion began early on in life. Drawing from her families' influences, including her grandmother's colorful collection of accessories and her sister's new wave ensembles, Ava was further inspired by 90's fashion photography and the local music scene. For the past several years, Ava Sanjurjo honed her skills working for large-scale swimwear manufacturers before launching her very own collection, Rica Swimwear. Today, Ava's designs can be found on beaches all over the world and on select celebrity clientele, as well as gracing the pages of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. With exquisite detailing and the high standards to which each Rica garment is held, each piece of this collection is a distinct expression of Ms. Sanjurjo's artistic and creative spirit.

Everyone -- including Bikini.com's Art Director -- is into Stand Up Paddling (SUP) these days. Surfing's new sister sport is now an emerging global sport -- and one swimwear company is taking it to a whole new level.
NEXT Swimwear – known for integrating swim, fitness, and fashion – has announced that it has teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) to declare June 10th NEXT National SUP Day. The 2012 NEXT Swimwear Collection features silhouettes and styles perfect for the active woman who enjoys SUP and outdoor water activities. For the past three years, NEXT has closely aligned with CFF and is excited to partner with the organization to promote this special day. The inaugural NEXT National SUP Day will be highlighted with events held in Newport Beach, CA, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis and Orlando. At each event, professional and avid stand up paddlers will hold free clinics for children afflicted with CF as well as for the general public.
For the 2012 swim season, NEXT Swimwear launched a national awareness effort for the Cystic Fibrosis Pipeline to a Cure Program. Throughout the season, a percentage of NEXT sales are donated to CFF. Also, NEXT hangtags and associated point-of-purchase materials promote how ocean activities like surfing and SUP provide a healing effect for CF patients. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). About five years ago, researchers in Australia discovered that kids with CF who surf had healthier lungs than those who didn’t. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation funded research for a hypertonic saline treatment that mimics a “surf session.” Today more than 70,000 people who suffer from CF around the world experience the healing effects of the ocean during treatments in their own homes.
The events will feature free Stand Up Paddle demonstrations and special appearances by professional SUP athletes. For more information about local events or to arrange a SUP Day event in your community, please visit www.NationalSUPday.com.
The simple statement overheard by a Lands' End's swimwear designer - "One suit does not fit all occasions" - may have sparked the next revolution in swimwear. Lands' End listened and created, SwimMates(TM), an innovative swimsuit concept that they feel will change the way women wear swimsuits. Labeled the "4-Piece Bikini," SwimMates are swim layers that transform the notion of traditional swimwear. The concept starts with a two-piece bikini as the foundation and then offers layering swim pieces including a cami, swim shorts or swim skirt. While some women may want to sport a bikini with family in the backyard, a pool party with neighbors may call for layering on a swim cami or skirt.
"SwimMates is truly a unique approach to swimwear that has been missing from the swim category. Not since the introduction of the tankini has there been a new swim concept like SwimMates that will change the way women wear swimsuits," said Erin McCormick, swimwear merchandise manager, Lands' End. "This new collection of swim separates offers the chance to create individual looks while also choosing the amount of coverage. Best of all, women can even swim in all of the SwimMates layering pieces."
McCormick believes SwimMates is for women who want to wear a bikini, but maybe not for all situations. The added layers allow for a new swim look and level of comfort without changing swimsuits throughout the day. The Lands' End SwimMates collection is currently available online at landsend.com and in Lands' End Shops at Sears nationwide and pieces range from $30 to $55.
