Colombian pop singer Fanny Lu visits Bikini.com
Latina pop singer Fanny Lu stopped by the Bikini.com studio yesterday to say hello and take some pictures for the launch of her new CD from Universal Music Latino, "Dos". She was absolutely adorable, beautiful, professional and even sang her songs in our conference room. Bikini.com inspiration: Bettie Page
Legendary pinup queen Bettie Page passed away yesterday at the age of 85. She was one of the quintessential pinup icons of the 1950's, and was known for her distinctively cut jet black hair and curvaceous body. She was just as comfortable in her birthday suit as her swimsuit, and appeared in countless mens magazines. But we think she was most beautiful in her classic beach poses and leopard bathing suit. Over the years, her sexy iconic looks inspired everyone from Madonna to Katy Perry, Rihanna, Uma Thurman and Christina Aguilera.
In our Bikini.com headquarters, we are proud owners of a signed black and white photo of Bettie Page posing for a Camera Club in Miami Beach in 1954. The photo was shot by photographer (and fellow pinup model) Bunny Yeager, who autographed the print to Bikini.com. Bunny set up this shooting session with Bettie Page to demonstrate to amateur photographers how to pose a model. The signed photo of Bettie's retro swimsuit shoot hangs proudly with other images of our own swimsuit models as well as other bikini inspirations from the past.
